John Eyers of Northampton Exiles Dies
It is with great sadness that we have to advise of the death of John Eyers on Thursday 6 June at the North London Hospice in North Finchley after a short period of illness. John joined Northampton Exiles as one of the Club's original colts in the late 1960s and continued playing for many years whilst also carrying out a number of administrative and captaincy roles in the Club.
In recent times John was our 1st XI umpire and assisted with ground work. John was a true Club legend and will be very much missed by us all. We will advise of funeral arrangements on the Club web-site once known. Exiles' games on Saturday will be preceded by a minute's silence in John's memory.
