The League maintains a website for the clubs and other people interested in the League. The site has a number of public and non-public pages and an administration function for maintaining the information across the site, which also feeds into the results reporting apps (IOS and Android).
The actual software development and maintenance of the website and the results reporting apps is carried out by a company called DragonStack, based in Spain.
The League is looking for someone to take over the management of the website and to be the interface with our development partner. Ideally this person would have some sort of software development background. The administration of the website is carried out through online administration pages but the ability to understand the development process and interrogate the database (MySQL) directly through the control panel would be an advantage.
The website needs to be kept up to date with news information and the administration of users (clubs/committee) that can login and update the information held (both public and non-public information)
The role also involves the design of enhancements to the apps or website and communicating those to the development team in Spain. Most of the communication is via email and could involve phone conversation to help define the requirements. Once completed the changes need to be fully tested before they go live for the clubs.
